    1. Alison says:

I haven’t got a green nappy yet but my 1st MCN were Green Kids Pockets. They are still good after 3 years.

    2. Bella says:

Im new to mcn’, but i have fallen in love! I have 2 in nappies and they love them aswell!! We currently have about 30 in our stash. Can’t wait to add more :)

    3. Monica says:

I LOVE my cloth nappies! They look great on and are so easy to use. My favourite nappy are the Bumbino nappies and I find them super absorbant and very slim to wear.

    4. Brooke says:

I have quite a few different ones now, my stash is up to about 20 :) . We are getting there. I’ve been using cloth since my daughter was about 2 months old. I was using toweling cloth pretty much until the last month or so. My bub is now 8 months.

A friend got me onto modern nappies. Once I tried them I loved them, I now have a bit of a addiction. I have also just tried some nappies from Sustainable Hemp Products and they are great nappies – I would love some more, LOL!

    5. Julie says:

Hi, I’ve just started learning about cloth diapers and I’m very excited to get a stash started as I’m due in July. I’m glad to have found so many Australian resources through the great Nappy hunt. Cheers!

    6. Christine Baker says:

I have just started putting my 13 month old son in green nappies, so I’m a bit late to the party but I figure better late than never! Now that we’ve started, I don’t know why I delayed for so long – I thought they would be much harder to deal with than they are. My next child will be in cloth from day one!

    7. Brooke S says:

My 8 month old has been in green nappies since 4 months.

I wish I had known about all the options earlier, and she would have been in them from the start.

I’m pregnant with number two now, and this bubba will definitely be in green from birth.

    8. Helen says:

I have many MCNs of different brands but I started with about 6 at first then took the plunge when my daughter was 6 months old.

We have not looked back and love them!

Half of my nappies are cheap eBay nappies. They work great and enabled me to start using cloth without spending heaps.

    9. Meg says:

After checking through this website quite a bit I decided to make the leap to cloth – we’re about half half at the moment, however we’re going on a trek around aus for a year and I’m hoping to be able to be full time cloth by then!

    10. Eve says:

I am a full time cloth nappy user but I started off with just a few and have slowly fed my addiction over 12 months!

I am now spreading the love, buying trial packs for friends who are having babies and passing on the message that even if you just start by using cloth every now and then, every time you use it there is one less disposable going into the landfill.

    11. E Jackson says:

I saw MCNs talked about online when I was pregnant with #3, and started off with two peapods. We then bought some BBH Magicalls, and were hooked!

Now I can’t imagine using disposables as we use Modern Cloth Nappies full time on #4, and some of the nappies we use were his older brothers’, so they really do last!

I also make my own ones so they are a little bit unique for him.

    12. Sue says:

I have MANY green nappies — 4 AIOs from Baby Beehinds, 20 AIOs from Ebay (made in China, but hey, they work!), and 21 fitted Bamboo nappies from Tots Bots. Admittedly I had them before I found My Green Nappy!

    13. Hayley says:

I don’t have a modern cloth nappy, I have only used the old terry towels that you need to fold and use with a snappi, would love to try a green nappy they look great and funky.

    14. Lisa says:

      Hi there,
I have a MCNs, I’m trying different styles.

To be honest, I think I almost over-researched. I thought they would be harder to use than disposables, I didn’t know if they’d work… so I kept looking and looking into it.

I have four different brands, six MCNs in total. I need to save up to get more…. One day, I just decided to bite the bullet and use them.

SO EASY! Why did I wait so long?

I LOVE the idea of one green nappy. They are so easy to use, and really, mummies do so much washing anyway… what’s another load? haha I like the idea of “making laundry not landfill”.

Thank you for this site and I will be buying more MCNS for sure as the budget allows… the transition IS SO EASY! (and does start with one!)

    15. Belinda says:

I have a few AIO’s and I have started making my own nappies! I am using bamboo lining and it is just beautiful to touch, I can’t wait to try it on my new baby due 19th April!!!

    16. Fiona says:

My beautiful boy was born in December, and prior to this I researched the best way to go – cloth or disposable. Hubby and I were completely sold on MCN’s and after talking to friends who use Bumgenius and Baby Beehinds, we started with Green kids and Bum Genius.

I am now branching out and have bought some cloth wipes as well as another nappy from bubbalooba. I have even bought some material to make my own!! Not only is all of this great for the environment, but it is fun too!

      Yay – go cloth…

    17. Melissa says:

Nopee, I do not have one – I have enough to always have some for my little Gaia, even when the weather is not good for drying them. They do vary in quality, though, so I am sampling several different types during my exposure in the nappy hunt!!

    18. Alison says:

I started out with just a few MCNs and used them intermittantly with disposables. Now with bub number 2 I am much more confident with the MCNs I have chosen and am almost using them full time (I just have to stock up on a few more).

The one green nappy initiative is a fantastic idea. I strongly believe that once parents (and grandparents) see how easy the MCNs are to use, there is no going back to disposables.

    19. Katinka says:

I have LOTS of green nappies! haha I love to dress my son in leggings so that he can show off his gorgeous gorgeous cloth butt. So much cuter than plastic disposables, that all look the same. How unoriginal.

I Love the initiative of one green nappy. When I eased into cloth nappies I just used one every few days. Didn’t take long to make the switch to full time when I realised how much less work they were than cleaning up poo explosions on things that AREN’T meant to get poo on them!

    20. I LOVED using modern cloth nappies with my daughter so much that I opened a webstore! I love the bright colours and cute patterns that the brands offer now too. I hope the word spreads and cloth nappies take the place of disposables!

    21. Bec says:

I’m a full time cloth nappy user, well my husband is(!) I have a few different types of nappies now, I bought a few second hand, a couple new, and after trying out different styles I’ve made some myself, bamboo boosters and lined pul outers. I found the bamboo didn’t work for my little girl, so we’re trying hemp now, seems to be much better.

    22. Megan says:

We have lots of cloth nappies, but baby is getting a rash to some of them ( ? PUL ) so we’re keen to try some different ones with natural fabrics. I’m loving looking through all the WAHM sites!

    23. Mim says:

We mostly use Real Nappies and Baby beehinds – I’ve been looking for a site for Real Nappies for ages and I finally found a link on your site – Thank you :)

    24. Samantha says:

I am very keen to use green nappies when my baby is born in August. Do not have any yet so would love to make yours the first !!!!!

    25. Kate says:

Just started using them and loving it!

    26. Erica Garcia says:

I have bumgenius ones but I am due in 2 weeks so haven’t gotten to try them out yet. I hope to avoid disposables :-)

    27. Nadia says:

I only own a couple of MCN’s and am gradually building up my stash. I have two new ones and am picking up some others second hand – all the better for our earth! I use cloth as often as possible with my limited stash, and can’t wait until next week when I have a couple more coming. Definitely a total convert now.

    28. Nicole says:

I love using MCN’s. I am constantly on the lookout for new designs, colours, liners, etc. I love, love, LOVE them!!!

    29. Joanne Murphy says:

I love my MCN and am constantly looking for cute designs that are slim and absorbent :)

    30. Khim says:

I love MCN so much I’m in the process of converting my mum and best friend :) Since my mum will be looking at my boy when I’m back at work, it’s important she sees the reason behind using cloth nappies.

    31. Monica says:

I’ve been using mcn’s since my boy was born and 9 months later I can’t stop raving about them to everyone I meet! I’m addicted to them!

    32. Natalie says:

Yes I have a green nappy! Actually.. way more than just one.. let’s not count them ;) shhhh!

    33. Claire Thomson says:

I have twins and found the cost of starting up on full MCNs prohibitive so I sewed my own pocket nappies. I have since sewn another set of larger sized ones. They grew so fat so fast they outgrew the first lot in a few months.

    34. Julie says:

I have just started developing my stash with my 2nd bub. I even have been putting some of the new MCNs for the newborn on my toddler for sleeping and he is loving it. Soon to be completely disposable free :) YAY.

    35. Gemma says:

I love mcn and do not use disposables, have got a lovely collection of many different types, and have purchased so many second hand to save even more money.

    36. Jess says:

I was pointed in the direction of cloth with my 2nd child after she suffered severe reactions to disposables. I wish I had found them earlier to save her the agony of the terrible skin from day 1. At 5 months old we commenced and this time around I intend to start with them from Day 1. Due in 10 weeks and hoping to avoid any unneccesary angst for baby #4

    37. I was so inspired by cloth nappies I started a online mcn business, it’s very new for me but lots of fun. GO GREEN :)

    38. Elisa says:

Since discovering MCN a couple of months ago we’ve developed a lovely collection. We’ve bought, traded and swapped nappies – so many different styles and brands to try! My boy just about has the full rainbow, yes he even has a pink nappy… or two!

    39. Alex Grove says:

Yes, some of my friends got me started and so far I have Baby Beehinds, Issy Bears and Dream Dri Pop-Ins. Loving it!

    40. Christine says:

I am building my mcn collection day by day for my belly bump

    41. christine shelton says:

I was inspired after I won my first from Bubbalooba and my second for last years My Green Promise Nappy hunt :)

    42. Trinette says:

I was inspired by other youtube mums using cloth nappies. My first nappy was bought from ebay…i later bought best bottom diapers from USA…they are a snap in insert and shell (cover)

    43. Cassandra says:

I started because of mygreennappy.org when I realised I really could make a difference with just 1. I now use MCNs majority of the time with my toddler, & I hope to be f/t with my newbie beginning in a few weeks.

    44. Donnah says:

I use a range of modern cloth, prefolds, terry flats and trainers on my babies. I love trying all types of cloth nappies, and also share my stash with my friends.

    45. Melissa B says:

We are a mcn family through and through. I recently gave 12 nappies to a friend to share the fluffy love – hopefully I have convinced her.

    46. Lisa Williams says:

I use modern cloth nappies (home made by a lady in Yea Victoria) but are new to the hemp products. Would love to start my stash with a free one :)

    47. Sarah Rickard says:

I have always used cloth nappies on my babies – we are currently using MCNs now instead of terry flats and loving them with baby number 3 :-)

    48. Sarah Rickard says:

I have always used nappies on my babies – now using MCNs on our third boy :-)

    49. Lee says:

My baby is not due until July. I intend to use MCN’s most of the time, but no I do not have one yet…

    50. Bex Downey says:

I use a reusable cloth nappy- bumbino. So less disposable nappies in the bin!
