Nappy Competition WINNER ANNOUNCED! Giveaway Nappy was donated by Michelle of Sustainable Hemp Products.

The simple environmental initiative is based on the collective impact of each family doing ONE thing; having a lovely time lookng around My Green Nappy, discovering all the lovely WAHM’s out there who can help you with your cloth nappy needs, introducing you to new ideas or recapping old information in a new way  - all to help you find the perfect ‘green nappy’ for your baby to wear.

That simple committment means one less disposable each time it is worn by your baby. Your baby then becomes an ambassador for ‘nappy change’, helping spread the ‘modern cloth’ nappy love and shrinking the eco footprint of baby after baby – just that little bit!

Our mission is to strive towards every baby having at least one ‘green’ nappy to wear, keeping a throwaway disposable out of the environment each time it is worn.

With over 300 thousand babies born down under each year, that one green nappy will make a difference!

I knew I wanted to go with cloth right from the start, but we were very short on funds. My mum managed to track down a WAHM and bought me aenough for full time use. Unfortunatly my son grew out of them at around 7 months, despite the makers assurance that she had used that size on her children the whole way through. I now use baby beehinds that I bought second hand – it’s easy if you know where to look!

The first MCN my man wore was Bambooty. I love that they don’t make his bum look huge and come in sizes. Still wearing them now, but widening the search to other MCN’s shortly…

I bought 2 “eco-love nappies” (very similar to papoose brand)which were on special at the markets to try, and have been very happy with them and am looking to purchase more in the near future, so I can go green full-time with bub2!

I also bought hippybottomus nappies for my baby girl. after much research these were affordable, awesome fabrics, looked good and were OSFM!
14 weeks in and we are still loving them!

I started my bub with Itti Bitti Snap in Ones – but bought then a couple of years ago before the tutto (OSFA) came out. I now also have a Pea Pod and am looking to attempt to make some too!

I’ve just bought a dozen hippybottomus nappies for my newborn. I love three idea of osfa and these guys do really affordable mcn’s. The biggest plus for me was the all natural fabric!
