My Green Nappy uses the Elegant Themes template called ‘Pure Type’:
A template is basically a pre-made website that you can download to your server, and then simply add in whatever you like! I use WordPress as the platform as it is awesome and free and easy to use – and still there is much to learn, and so much that can be customised. Plus, of course, all the Elegant Themes templates are created specifically for WordPress.
It costs just a smidge under $20 to join Elegant Themes for a year, and during that time you can download and use any of the themes you like!
I am changing my Tribal Baby site over to an Elegant Themes template too – I have downloaded Studio Blue – which I will use in the ‘Green Skin’:
Then I will change my Part Time Nappy Free! site over to Studio Blue in the ‘Blue Skin’:
I think they will look much better, and by golly I will be SO glad not to have to do the website myself anymore – as I stuff up the CSS coding continuously as I only vaguely have a handle on what to do! LOL…
I have another site in the planning stages (such FUN!) and I am thinking I’ll use the ‘Lumin’ theme:
Have you been thinking about starting a blog? I can recommend checking out the gallery of themes at Elegant Themes – they are the only ones you will see as my websites from now on! New themes are regularly added, too.
Visit Elegant Themes for Quality WordPress templates for under $20 a year…
A question for you:
Did you know that ‘templates’ existed? I didn’t a year ago… If you were to start a blog or site tomorrow, which of these themes would suit your idea?
I had no idea about the templates either! I really like the Cherry Truffle theme if I were to start a blog.

They look great. If I was to start a site I think I would use the Earthly Touch or the Tidal Force.

Templates make websites much easier 🙂 I quite like the “On the Go” and “Glow” themes, though I don’t have time to set up another site/blog! Where do you find the time to run all your sites?

I love to use templates, but I still like to tweak little bits here and there to make it truly my site.
I have to make sure though I don’t break any themes in doing those minor tweaks!

LOL, Sara, I have long lists of things I want to do with them! Then, I do it slowly – like right now I am up at 5am (I thought it was 6am but my phone didn’t update to DLS yet) – in the quiet time before the whirlwind of the day. Then, little grabs of time here and there – plus I’m TRYING to learn to work very fast on things -LOL, but get totally distracted all the time – I got up to quickly write an article, but here I am, reading new comments and waffling on! he he he. Fun though, I love reading what people have to say.
Rebecca, oh yeah – I have broken this site a few times too! I am slowly getting better at fixing the stuff ups though. Mary does the tweaking here!
