Meet Our Guest: Tail Endz Modern Cloth Nappies

Let’s meet Megan, who is the proud owner of Tail Endz, a modern cloth nappy shop:

Hi, my name is Megan and I am from regional Queensland. I live with my magnificent husband and 3 ½ year old cyclone daughter. She certainly keeps me on my toes.

About Tail Endz:

I started at the urging of my husband a bit over 2 years ago. I started making Modern Cloth Nappies not long after my daughter was born when I realised that to get my husband to change cloth nappies they were going to have to be easy!! I bought a couple but decided there had to be a cheaper way, thus TailEndz was born. TailEndz now includes some other bits and pieces for sale but is mostly about the very cost effective nappy.

I wanted people to at least try cloth to see how easy it is, so decided I would keep costs low. So far so good. But because of the already rock bottom prices there is currently no discount program but keep your eyes peeled for specials on the home page.

I am passionate about social justice issues and support a number of worthwhile causes. TailEndz sponsors a child through Compassion and I also support Destiny Rescue, an organisation that frees child prostitutes in Asia and Africa. They do an awesome job.

Our Planet Matters!

I love the concept of cloth nappies because they are such an easy way to make an environmental difference. It is quite satisfying as you hang the nappies on the line knowing you didn’t cause too much landfill today! I also would love to be sustainable. At the moment I just do the chooks, compost, vegie garden thing but would eventually love to be a bit more adventurous.

When you visit make sure you check out:

1. The amazing range of colours. Because I make each nappy to order you can choose any colour combination.
2. I have just started making personalised dance bags. They are really cute and great as gifts or for some cutie in your life.
3. Soon to come: make your own nappy packs! All the materials you need to sew an AIO nappy. If you are interested in this service drop me an email. I want everyone to see how easy it is to get started with cloth nappies.

Some of my favourite sites are:

1. The Little Big Book Club – excellent for activities for the littlies at home.

2. Destiny Rescue – a worthy cause, check it out.
