Let’s meet Sarah, the proud owner of Bambinos and Rugrats:
– My name is Sarah and I launched Bambinos and Rugrats in January 2010 after a year of planning and developing my vision. I have always had a passion for natural and organic products but recently I have felt this intense urge to help those less fortunate than us. With the increase in media, we are regularly transported via the net and TV into the lives and living standards of people in developing countries. This opened my eyes and heart and led me decision that Fair Trade Products will feature on Bambinos and Rugrats. Fair Trade is a positive step towards these people having better working conditions, better pay, local sustainability and fair trade terms for the farmers. What a beautiful message you send when you purchase fair trade baby products, knowing that you are also supporting families in developing nations.
About Bambinos and Rugrats…
– Bambinos and Rugrats features natural, organic and fair trade Baby Products with the convenience of online shopping. We have a whole lot of Fair Trade Products that we have sourced and these will gradually be added to the site throughout the year. Bambinos and Rugrats is a progressive site, we are constantly looking for new, fun, fab and practical products to add to the site. When you sign up to our monthly newsletter you receive 50 Bambinos Points. Every time you purchase anything online, you accrue points. Once you reach 600 points you get $30 off your next purchase!
When you visit Bambinos and Rugrats make sure you have a look at…
1. Bambo Nature just won the Choice Magazine Award for “Best green disposable nappy”! They are 75% biodegradable instead of the traditional 35%
2. Hand crafted dolls that are all are embroidered by Namibian previously disadvantaged women. Materials are hand combed from yaks in the prestige Himalayan regions of China, 100% Alpaca wool and 100% organic cotton (EKO) and then crafted into these timeless dolls.
3. The cutest 100% organic cotton Eko Peko t-shirts with messages like “ABC’s not GMO’s, Earth Baby. Eco Peko are proud members of 1% of the planet, meaning that with every shirt sold a percentage goes to non-profit local environmental organizations
3 of my favourite sites are:
1. Fair Trade Australia website. Lists where you can buy fair trade products.
2. Skin Clinic – they sell mineral makeup online through their shopping cart and they only use natural skin care products in their salon.

– This is a regular feature of My Green Nappy in which family friendly sites are invited to contribute a post about their website. You’ll discover a bit about their ideas, specialties, what motivated their passion and what concerns them about the environment at the moment.
