Meet Our Guest: Sweet Bubba Eco Store

Filed under: Our Guests — charndra @ 7:00 am

Let’s meet Amanda, the proud owner of Sweet Bubba Eco Store:

Hi, My name is Amanda Lapthorne and I am a WAHM with two delightful and boisterous boys aged 3 and 19 months. I live in the Gold Coast Hinterland surrounded by beautiful native trees and animals and clean fresh air.

My boys keep me very busy, but I do find enough time to indulge my other passion of my online eco friendly business Sweet Bubba Eco Store. I started this business recently when I got frustrated with going to 5 different websites and shops to buy their organic clothing, cloth nappies, BPA free feeding equipment, and organic skin care products. I was paying 5 lots of postage or driving to several shops with two very active and often frustrated toddlers in tow.
Sweet Bubba Eco Store is a one stop shop with reasonably priced and luxury organic, chemical free and natural items that are safe for the kids, mum and the environment. At Sweet Bubba we offer discounted quick postage for all over Australia.

Our Planet Matters:

My concern about the environment is that it is being treated like a consumable rather than a treasure we must protect. I am concerned with the amount of waste the average person produces. I love the idea of people just changing one aspect of their life to be more environmentally conscious, such as the Green Nappy Initiative.

Amanda recently donated Green Promise Nappy (Number #26) to the 100 Green Promise Nappies Initiative. She personally made this beautiful and eco-conscious nappy! Click on the photo to discover more about it…

When you visit Sweet Bubba make sure you check out our:

1. Resources page with awesome links to great natural pregnancy, birth and parenting sites;

2. Articles that have great tips and information in regards to organic products, home health, child safety, and home remedies;

3. The selection of cloth nappies and nappy accessories.

My 3 favourite sites would be:

1. Munchskins Natural Skin Delights (closed)

2. Rumbletums Organic Baby and Toddler Food

3. 4MyEarth sandwich wraps and pockets

  1. This recycling tip is great because it also saves money. When I started my nappy stash I also needed a washable wipes stash, so instead of buy heaps of face washes, I used a dozen hand me down terry square nappies I was given, cut them into quarters & overlocked the raw edges. By the end of the day I had 48 free nappy wipes for just a little bit of my time.
