Announcing Winners of the WINTER 2010 round of the Green Promise Nappy Initiative!

Filed under: Win a Modern Cloth Nappy — charndra @ 10:17 am

My Green Nappy and Sponsors of the Winter Green Promise Nappy Initiative are excited and proud to announce the winners of our Winter Green Promise Nappies today!

Thanks to everyone for the enthusiasm shown in supporting (and promoting) this simple environmental initiative which highlights that even one ‘green’ nappy can make a difference – preventing a disposable from ending up in landfill each time it is worn.

We hope you had fun bouncing around the sites of our sponsors, who kindly donated a special modern cloth nappy to this giveaway. It has been designed to highlight the features and benefits of soft, reusable nappies for your baby’s bottom comfort, which look really snazzy while they boost your budget, benefit the environment and provide a pretty conversational starter for mum chats.

Participating sites included Brindabella Baby, Oz Baby Trends,Sustainable Hemp Products, Tribal Baby, Part Time Nappy Free!,Little Diamond Bums,Baby Blossom,Aquabub,Green Bums,Sewy Joeys,Cheeky Cherubs,Baby BeeHinds,Krap Katchers,Ticklefish Tots,Ninky Bear,E-weez,Organic Bugalugs,Baby Safari,Jax Naps,Bean Sprout Bubba,Bubbalooba,Darlings Downunder,Woddle Bots,Cloth My Bot,Parents and Pumpkins,Sweet Bubba Eco Store,Noonee Wilga,Bongo Baby,itti bitti NZ,New Age Nappies,Tweedle,Nenooh Baby andBonito Baby.

At the beginning of June, entrants began playing this simple contest. By visiting each of our sponsoring sites, entrants found a question to find the answer by looking around each of the sponsoring sites and adding their answer to a downloaded checklist, before submitting the answers to go into the draw for each nappy. Some entrants entered all draws, others supported their favourite retailers, or picked those nappies they most wanted to win! Contestants had plenty of time to qualify for as many nappies as they liked, with six weeks to enter. Entrants joined right up until the last day to play, with over a thousand players registered, and in fact new registrations are still happening each day for the next round!

  • Thank you so much for running this awesome competition. I did all the entries in one night as soon as I found out about it. At the end I looked at the clock and it had been four hours straight that I was online searching around. Thank you once again for helping to get the cloth nappy word out there. I have only been using cloth for four weeks now and I love it so much. I love knowing that there are almost 150 nappies less in landfill right now because of me. I am only one person. Imagine the difference all the cloth mums are making. I will definently be involved next time. – Cass

Congratulations to our 33 winners.

Were you a lucky player?

YES? Your nappy and it’s certificate of authenticity which we hope will travel as the nappy later moves to a new home, will arrive quite soon. You may have won a custom order or size, in which the sponsor will contact you about the best choice for your needs.

Not this round? Dang. Be sure to stay registered so you can participate in the Spring round of the Green Promise nappy Initiative, as we strive towards our goal of one day reaching 100 Green Promise Nappies!

Winners, what will happen to your nappy prize? Will your baby, tot or toddler wear it, or will you pass it to a friend as a gift?

All players, was it fun, will you play again?

  1. Yay, I won one! Bongo Bongo! 🙂

Thanks so much for being an advocate for change.
