Let’s meet Tara, the proud owner of MUMedia:

My name is Tara and I’m from Adelaide and have three little boys who are 4, 3 and 1.

About MUMedia:

After having my second child, I realised that a lot of the things I did with my first that just didn’t work with my second! This was the beginning of me exploring different parenting ideas, products, philosophy’s and asking questions as to why we think or feel the way we do about mothering.

I began to realise that so many of the perceptions and beliefs we have about motherhood are heavily influenced by the media and advertising. We find ourselves going with the flow (the mainstream!) without even stopping to ask where we are going or why! Sometimes we need to go against the flow (the mainstream!) to find what’s right for our families!

So after my third child, I found myself feeling so much more confident to make choices that went against the flow! This was how I came to use modern cloth nappies having come full circle and believing they were the right choice for my family!

MUMedia is set to be released as a website early 2011 (and eventually a book!) but for a taste visit my blog and become a follower! It’s a place where you will find info, advice, support and encouragement! Post some comments to let me know what you think!

Our Planet Matters!

My concern is apathy. I talk to so many people who turn a blind eye when it comes to our personal impact on the environment. I think we all have to take responsibility for our part to ensure it is protected for our children. Using cloth nappies is a great start!
