Let’s meet Sharon, the proud owner of Mumma Loves Bubba:

Hi everyone! I’m Sharon, a first time mum to my gorgeous baby boy CJ (currently 9 months old) and we live in Sydney NSW with my hubby Chris.

About Mumma Loves Bubba…

For Mumma Loves Bubba I try to specialize in baby products that are all natural, organic or eco friendly. There are also a few items that were too gorgeous not to stock! All the products we stock come highly recommended and are absolute baby essentials. That’s why we picked out the name Mumma Loves Bubba, because all mums want the best for their bubs and we help them do just that.

My husband inspired me to start the shop as I am passionate about finding products that are kind to our environment. He had no idea before we got pregnant that I would prefer natural products for our baby and thought I was crazy when I said I wanted to use cloth nappies. He now knows that I am a bit of a hippy at heart!

We specialize in one size fits most modern cloth nappies and showcase Work At Home Mum (WAHM) nappies on occasion. All newsletter subscribers and orders received throughout the month go into the draw for our monthly giveaway. Our postage is also a flat rat of $8 with free shipping for orders over $150. Layby is also available.

Our Planet Matters!

I’ve always known that I would prefer to use cloth nappies over disposables since I was a little girl and while I was pregnant I was looking forward to using cotton squares. Then I discovered modern cloth nappies and was immediately hooked. Not only are they environmentally friendly, they look really cute too! Every time a modern cloth nappy is used instead of a disposable, that’s one less disposable that goes into landfill. We need to do what we can to leave our children a beautiful planet earth and every little bit counts.

Meet Our Guest – Sustainababy

Let’s meet Laura, the proud owner of Sustainababy:

Hi! I’m Laura, mother, wife and founder of Sustainababy, an online eco store for babies and toddlers, and soon, children up to age six! I’ve worked as an environmental engineer for over 11 years helping large organizations improve their environmental performance, and this passion didn’t stop when I became a mother. However, my perspective on work changed, and I sought something that was a bit more flexible than my engineering career.

Thus, Sustainababy was born!

About Sustainababy…

Sustainababy aims to be a one stop shop for the eco conscious parent (grandparent or friend), looking to buy that special or everyday item for their baby that is eco-friendly. We particularly have a large range of bedding (think glorious merino blankets and organic cotton sheet sets), organic cotton and merino clothing (Purebaby, Baobab, Merino Kids plus more!), toys, baby carriers and slings, modern cloth nappies and more! I was inspired to start Sustainababy when, as a time poor professional woman working through her first pregnancy, struggled to find all the products that I wanted for my son in the one place.

The name Sustainababy came to me in a moment of pregnancy insomnia and when I discovered it wasn’t being used, leapt at it. To me, Sustainababy incorporates everything about growing and nourishing a baby sustainably. From sustaining life in the true sense of the word, to sustaining this precious planet we call home.

Sustainababy supports the regeneration of degraded landscapes in South Australia, our home state, and also provides customers the opportunity to offset emissions from the delivery of their order, much as you would do when flying carbon neutral with an airline. We are very proud to be the first online retail store in Australia to offer our customers this choice.

Our Planet Matters!

I have been passionate about the environment from a very young age which led me to studying environmental engineering and working in that field for many years. In my line of work , I have both seen and restored some of the most degraded and contaminated environments and know that much damage can be restored given science effort and time. Obviously, prevention is much better than cure and so I aim to educate customers in small steps they can take to reduce their environmental impact as I believe many people taking many small steps, can drive big change.

I am concerned with humans becoming more and more disconnected with nature. Like most mothers, I would like my children and grandchildren to experience the beautiful landscapes and wildlife I have and for such areas to become more widespread as we repair our damaged environment. As humans, it is important we never lose our capacity to connect with nature.

Meet Our Guest – My Friend Matilda

Let’s meet Bek, the proud owner of My Friend Matilda:

Hi I’m Bek the face behind My Friend Matilda. I am the proud mother of my 18 month old son, Kayden. He is our very own little miracle boy who was waiting around for 5 months before his mumma realized she was pregnant! We have had a whirlwind couple of years and My Friend Matilda began when he was four months old.

About My Friend Matilda…

We have recently transitioned our website to just focus on selling high quality, removable wall decals. When I was pregnant with Kayden there was a real demand for contemporary decals and there was a definite lack of this in the Aussie market.

My Friend Matilda is named after our Cavoodle, Matilda. She was our first born furry child and frankly…Matilda sounded better than My Friend Kayden (sorry Kayden!). We have a really supportive Facebook page that is growing every day and we encourage our fans and customers to join up, grab bargains and of course share their newly purchased decals with us!

Our Planet Matters!

I have always been aware of how precious our environment is however when our son Kayden was born I realized how important it was to ensure we set the best example for him as well.
So we have always used reusable nappies and I have recently started a worm farm which I ensure I show off to all our visitors!
