Traditional Nappies

Traditional Nappies are still a popular style of nappy. Terry towelling, muslin, flannellette prefolds and trifolds can be economically used to save money when used within a cover, wrap or ‘shell’.

Traditional nappies are flat, square, often made of terry towelling or flannellette. – Prefold nappies are the simplest modern cloth nappy, and the cheapest. – They can be used with covers, in pockets, with hybrid nappies, as clean-up for all manner of baby spills. – You’ll need thirsty fabrics, so avoid supermarket packs: too thin!

Modern Nappies are washable, reusable and economical to use and easy to wash. Simply keep in a sealed bucket, and on washing day give them a pre-rinse, warm wash and favour line drying or warm cycle on the clothes dryer.
