This Spring: A Time for Potty or Toilet Training?

This post introduces a new resource available on My Green Nappy under ‘My Resources’:  Toilet Learning Resources.

Do you have a Toddler Ready for Potty or Toilet Training?

Spring and Summer are the traditional time for moving from full time nappies to toilet learning.

There are many terms used for this transition from nappies to independent toilet use, whether that be by potty training or toilet training, the more gradual elimination communication or infant potty training, each is about weaning your baby or toddler from nappies to underwear.

Lots of mothers appreciate online learning resources (e-books), others books or DVD’s, and you can bet there will be plenty of times you’ll hear how so-snd-so ‘trained’ their child in ‘x’ hours, days or minutes, usually with minimal effort. The reality is that there are many ways for many people, and of course, the many personalities of children out there, and endless variations of needs and circumstances. You’ll see some of those ‘super fast’ titles below – many have additional bonus resources – you might assess those for relevance to your choice too.

Below I have put together a list of many toilet learning programs available online at present. They are popular, successful and may be just what you need for the motivation, support, ideas, products or simply information you may need to prepare for and then negotiate your way through until your nappy stash is no longer required. Peruse for tips, free resources and ideas before deciding which is best for you.
